The port you will want to plug your brake controller wiring adapter # 3040-P into will be located under the dash on the left side, behind the fuel and hood latch levers. The brake controller plug will need to be removed from its port, and connected with the wiring harness. In order to mount the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # HM11143910 on a 2017 Lexus LX 570 you'll need the Mounting Bracket and Installation Hardware part # PK12711U. If you can' find anywhere to mount this bracket you can purchase the Curt No-Drill Bracket part # C57202 and secure it to the hitch. For your 2008 Lexus LX570 the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Toyota and Lexus # 3040-P will plug into the factory harness located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
